PrepStarter Services began with 951 Elite Volleyball, a competitive
volleyball club in the Temecula Valley region of Southern California. Over
the years players from 951 Elite (formerly known as Vintage) have received
scholarships to schools at all levels from NAIA to the PAC-10. Much of the
clubs recruiting success has been due to the relationships club director
Dennis Palpallatoc has established over the years with coaches throughout
the country. Another factor is that 951 Elite players have enjoyed the
unique benefit of having college coaches in the gym on a regular basis.
Through countless discussions with players and visiting coaches we realized
that the current recruiting processes were inadequate and the needs of
coaches, clubs, and athletes were not being met. In response, the concept of
a national recruiting database and evaluation process was developed.

James C. Burnham, Ed.D.
Having earned a doctoral degree in educational psychology, Dr. Burnham
contributes his expertise in evaluation measurements and research
methodology. It is in the design of PrepStarter that the recruiting process
continues to develop and provide research quality data and conclusions to
better match athletes and collegiate programs. To these ends tangible and
intangible factors including physical characteristics, personality, and
leadership are continually included in the evaluation process to find
significant relationships. Dr. Burnham continues to direct the data
collection design and process to ensure that the resulting conclusions are
valid and reliable.
